I thought it was a good time to blog again
Well the election is finally over and the candidate i voted for won. I am not trying to rub it in, but I am excited for what is ahead. I hope that there is some way that Al Franken can pull it off in minnesota. It will not be the end of the world if he doesn't. I am just happy to have political commercials off the air.
I went to a conference in chicago on thursday and stayed until saturday afternoon when we all came back. It was a really good time. I liked the learning that took place. There were some really interesting speakers and the chance to mingle with the younger class of entrepreneurship major at UWEC and also with students from all over the country and even some from other countries. I really only made one new friend, she happened to be from this school.
The situation in which i met her was kind of weird. The whole group from UWEC was out in Chicago finding some place to eat(the place the bust had dropped us had closed down) we were wondering around for dinner and we all had to take cab rides back to the hotel. There were 5 of us trying to take a cab back together 3 guys i knew and her who had eaten dinner with two fo the guys i knew. We tried to sit with 4 of us in the back but it was uncomfortble so she climbed on my lap. She was flirty about it I thought it was cool. I also thought I was kind of sweet too haha. It was a good time a fun ride, I dont have all that much experience with taxis but this was a good one. We all got back to the hotel and relaxed for a bit before pretty much everyone from UWEC was in a room hanging out. and this girl and i were off to the side talking and hanging out
neither of us were going to drink at the party. We decided do go down to my room and hang out. We talked and watched some videos for a while. It was a lot of fun. As it turns out we have pretty much the same views both religiously and politically, which is something i have not really come across thus far. It was not until a bit into us hanging out did i find out she had a boyfriend, because I had thought she was flirting with me and stuff, but I guess I am just not used to girls flirting with me at all. But after the we were back I heard from people that they shot she was into me too, and also that one of the guy rooming with me was afraid to come into the room cuz he didnt want to be interrupting. Oh well she is a cool girl and it was an all around good time in Chicago.
I guess it is time for the sad part of my post, I still am just wishing i had someone. I guess I am tired of waiting to find out if there is someone out there for me. I am tired of just being lonely. I want to have someone to love and such, I just think its past my time to have someone, but i dont want to just settle for anyone that is not how i roll.
Well I still doubt anyone will read this but I am going to post this anyway.
