A good weekend of sports

Well it was another good weekend for twins fans. The twins took 3 out of 4 games from the tigers. And since have taken two from the A's. They are in great position to make the playoffs and I think they will even have a good chance to win the division. Santana is amazing and I think Morneau is by far the most Valuable player in the AL this year. The key is the word valuable. The red sox have Manny to go with david ortiz. The yankees have a loaded lineup to go with Jeter. Even the White sox have other big sluggers to go with Dye. The Tigers and A's dont really have any super valuable players. Without Morneau the Twins would not be able to win nearly as many games. In other sports new the vikings won on monday night, I was unable to see the game, but according to sportscenter they played well. I will hopefully be able to see some of the next game. I just found out that the twins play on tv during the day tomorrow. It makes me want to skip class because Liriano is making his triumphant return to the majors.
Well i think that is enough for sports. So lets see whats new in my world. I have been having class and everything and actually doing my homework. Or at least some of it. I have also been working.
So on campus the past few days there is a crazy bible hugger walking in circles yelling about the problems of everyone. Talking about how anyone who believes in evolution is as bad as hitler, because what evolution teaches is racial supremacy. I dont know what to start with on this statement, but this guy is just completely blind to the real world. He was also bitching that islam teaches that there is only one god and it is allah, but as far as I know the bible also teaches that there is only one god. He makes arguements that dont have any factual backing. People are entitled to their own opitions and beliefs, but you should not be out preaching like this. People that believe in god dont bother me. The people that try to force their beliefs onto other do bother me. I have my beliefs deal with is. Youre not going to get me to change my beliefs by barking some nonsensical paranoid thoughts at me and telling me how wrong I am.
I kind of want to stand around and poke holes in this guy's arguements.
Well I think I really need to get to my homework so I will have to wrap this up.
Song of the Night: Light my Fire----The Doors, while i was walking home from work this evening it seemed like this song would be a good choice because I havent really used the doors much or even at all as my song of the day.
Some other bands that I really like that i have not really used are Cake and Radiohead. I think the reason for that is that I really like all of their songs and its hard to choose one. They just dont stick out as singles.
I dont really have a movie for tonight. I dont really have the effort to pick something, but I will think of one for next time.
Thats all for tonight.
Peach Out!

School is here :(

Well summer just blew by and school is back once again. It isnt all that bad. I only had a little class today, but it worked out well for me. I worked after my last class was finished. It was pretty busy at work. Well this past weekend was the last real chance to relax before school arrived. There were parties here both nights so I didn't really get to relax all that much. My dad and older brother decided to come and visit me on sunday. We went out and took the Leinenkugel brewery tour. The tour was pretty lackluster, and my family and I agreed that Leinie's was trying to act like they were better than any other beer company. Someone on the tour asked when Miller bought Leinenkugel's, the snappy reply from the tour guide was that Miller never bought them they merged together. From my point of view it would seem like they would be one and the same. Miller would own and control the brewery, they would just have Leines make theirr own beer. I guess it was just a bad attitude by the people on the tour. Oh well not much that I can do about that. My family wanted to know what there was to see in Eau Claire, and as far as I know there really isnt all that much. We went through carson park and saw the Hank Aaron monument, and then we went downtown where there was absolutely nothing going on. I had to work that evening so we had dinner and then they left. That was really all that there was on sunday. Monday was not much of anyhitng. I worked and had the hope that we would have the gallon challenge when I got home, but of course knowing my roommates they were already wasted. So once again the gallon challenege is on hold.
I have been looking a lot into the prep sports in Minnesota. There is a prospect playing football for my high school that seems to be unstoppable on both sides of the ball. The team is ranked #6 in their level, but there are 3 teams in the conference in the top 10 so it might be a tough year. Today I saw an article about my high school's soccer team, which in the past 4 years has been second in state 3 times and 3rd in state once. The article was pretty pointless, they said that the team needed to make a name for itself again, even though it never had one before. I dont know the article was kind of wrong in my opinion. It said that the top 3 players from last year were back, but the all state honorable mention left and I think he would have been one of the top 3. I know this is kind of a cute thing to say, but my brother left and between the two of them they were the core of the defense. Not to mention the anchor of the defense the goalie who also graduated. The kids that are there now dont really have the people to replace the big holes that were in the defense, but i guess they could prove me wrong.
Thats about enough about high school sports for now, although I have no doubt that there will be more mentions of it in my blog at one point or another. Its about time to wrap this up which means my version of the big finish for you pardon the interruption fans.
Song of the Night: Free Bird----Lynyrd Skynyrd, this song was beggint to be used. The last two times i was in my car is was playing. It was kind of weird. The song is pretty long but has some great guitar work from one of the best souther rock bands of all time.
Movie of the day: Jaws, it was on today when I got home from work. It is a classic. Not much I can really say. It scared many people away from going into the water. I know I was scared back when I was younger and had seen part of this movie. It is ranked #83 on IMDB's top 250 list. Worth seeing for anyone who hasnt seen it. Worth seeing again for anyone who has seen it. Enough said.
Thats all for now folks!
