Random thoughts

Well it has been quite a while since i have last posted on here. I have at the very least a few things to mention and will probably just blabber as I always do. Its just time to empty my mind of the random thoughts I have been having lately.

First of all this will be a huge rant to start off. I work in a grocery store as a cashier for those who don't know. I hate nothing more than when people say they should make all of the credit card machines the same. These people would most likely complain about socialism being a fear. Well guess what if you control how all of the machines are made through some sort of regulation that is government controlled industry. I am not opposed to socialism, but we are in fact a capitalist country. Each company will make their own machines however they please. None of the machines are hard to use. I just hate when people actually whine about this. I go to other stores and have no problem. This is the main topic I got on here to cover, just for some reason i had to vent about it.

One other thing that has been angering me lately as well is people who talk about how awesome Transformers 2 is. I know I am gong to be unpopular for this opinion but that movie was not awesome. That movie was probably the most disappointing movie i have seen in a while. I am sorry to anyone who thought it was a good movie, but it was so pointless, predictable and boring to me.

In the sports world, for those who didn't follow, the twins made a late run through the month of september and won the AL central division in a one game playoff against the tigers, but the team really had no gas left for the playoffs and were swept out by the yankees. It was nice for the twins to win the division. I didnt have expectations for them to beat the yankees. The twins were exhausted and of all the teams the yankees own the twins the most. I am looking forward to next year I think the team built some momentum this year and with morneau back the team should be even better.

The Vikings have started off with a great 6-0 record. We might have one of the worst junk time defenses in the NFL, we get up big and then let teams back in the game. It happened against green bay big time. It really happened against the ravens and the ravens even took the lead for a short time, before the vikings came back. This worries me though. I think the defense comes out fired up and they showed that in the first half against the ravens and just shut them down. In the second half it was a different story. We gave up big runs, lots of big plays from short passes we just need to work on that or the Vikings will turn into a real joke of a defense. I think this next game at the steelers will really show what kind of a team we have. We need a big win on the road.

I think I am paying more attention to the vikings than i have in a long time. And I really am paying more attention to everything in the NFL for the sake of fantasy football. I want to win some money this year. I was so disappointed when my Fantasy Baseball team fell apart towards the end of the year. I need to make up for it with a big win here.

I have seen two new movies in the past few weeks. I would recommend both of them to people. The first one that i saw was zombieland. If you like zombie movies you should see this movie. Its funny, but also has some spots where i jumped and got worried. The characters are very lovable which make it easy to connect to them. Jesse Eisenberg has a good showing, he is as i have told a few people, a poor man's Michael Cera. I think they play pretty much the same characters. Jesse Eisenberg is kind of a new comer. He was in Adventureland which i was disappointed with. I wanted to like it, I really liked the cast but it just didnt do that much. I knew what was going to happen withint the first 10 minutes of the movie. Back to zombieland, I think it has the best cameo that I have ever seen, but I will not tell you who it is. Worth seeing just for that part. I actually plan to see it again, if i can. That is how much I enjoyed it.

The other movie that I saw was The Invention of Lying. This movie had a great cast, great isnt strong enough. An amazing cast. Not only did I love the cast, but the movie was really well written. I think it had such a random concept, but it really made the world convincingly. I have watched the Office and Extras which are what made Ricky Gervais Famous, but I really think this movie builds upon that. He is now one of my favorites.

well it is time for the way i used to wrap up all of my posts.
I used to include a movie and a song for my mood,
Movie for my mood-Office Space, I have been working in my cubicle a lot lately and it just fits how i have been feeling sometimes.
Song for my Mood: Down Under-Men at Work, a random song I know. I saw a sign saying men at work on my way to the gym today and that has been in my head. My favorite line from the song is:
Buying bread from a man in brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, do you speak-a my language?
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich

Well thats all for now.
