its too damn hot

Its been hot and humid for way too long, we have been without rain for way too long. We need something to cool down the damn air. I worked today, and inside in the air conditioning it was still kind of warm. I walked like 5 blocks to a friends's house at like midnight and by the time i got there I was sweating, I usually sweat a lot, but it was just terrible all around. I guess it was a vicious cycle for my body, I would sweat and the humidity would not allow the sweat to evaporate so my body would stay hot and sweat more and repeat the process. This is probably getting nice and gros for my valuable readers out there. I have been watching a lot of futurama lately as part of my cycle through my dvds. I played heads up poker with my friend Lemon tonight. We played rounds of HORSE which would just be too hard to explain to the people who dont know what it is. Well lately I have gotten into a new show on USA called Psych, it is really funny and creative, although I missed the most recent episode. I am writing this blog entry early in the morning because my sleep schedule is fucked up big time. Well I have to work in 10 hours so I should head to bed.
Song of the Day: Where its at----Beck
Can't really think of a movie of the day, because I havent watched any today.
There Had better be some rain soon.

a weird story

ok this is going to be a long and weird story, but I have met the guy who created the rolling stones' famous logo of the tongue, when I lived in austria I went to school with his son. All of his kids were named after famous artists. I was looking around on Imdb.com which is something tthat I do when i am bored. I was looking at the new transformers movie that is coming out next year, because it was mentioned in clerks 2 which i watched today. I saw that dane cook was going to be doing a voice in it which was cool. I clicked on his name to see what other movies he was going to be in.
And i saw torque which was an ice cube movie i clicked on it just to see who all was in it, when i get there i see the name monet mazur, I knew the last name of the aforementioned family was mazur so i clicked on it and saw that her father was the creator of the creator of the rolling stones logo, pretty weird huh?
Well she has been in a few famous movies in small parts, but still it is a very weird thing to just rancomly find on IMDB especially on the same day as i was added on facebook by friends from Austria. I guess it might just be interesting for me and no one else who knows

Im back Baby!

Well it must have been almost a few weeks since I have last posted in here, but I have decided that i am not going to give up on blogging. Not all the much stuff has been happening. Well a few days ago I went ove to canterbury park to play poke with my roommates Brian and John, but sadly none of us were able to catch much for hands and all lost some money. I have been reading the updates of the world series of poker on cardplayer.com religiously with friends. I am in a fantasy world series of poker league with them so it is always fun. I have also been playing in a home game with friends (Ross and Lemon probably want to be mentioned here.) We have been playing mixed limit poker in order to try to get to know them all better. It is very low stakes and tons of fun with friends which is always a good thing. I have been working a lot, mostly closing, which I really dont mind at all. I would be up that late on my own anyway. I get along with all of my coworkers which is definitely a good thing. I spend most of the time joking around with them, or in the case of yesterday i discussed baseball with a few of my coworkers, we discussed the twins and how amazing they are playing. If the twins can pick up a power hitting outfielder, I think they will be able to take the wild card easily. Pitching is going amazing. Hitting is clutch from everyone. No more struggling for a few runs. If they can keep up this hot week especially through the weekend against the tigers, I am not sure if anyone will be able to stop them. So today when i got up, I checked my email. I saw that i had been added as a friend by people that I was friends with when i lived in Austria. It really is bringing back the memories. I hope I get to chat with those guys and see how they are doing. My big regret was that i never really kept in contact with them.
Time to get down to the good stuff.
Song of the Day: Back in the Saddle Again----AerosmithMovie of the day: Evolution, this movie is a hillarious comedy involving aliens coming from another planet on an asteroid and evolving faster than we can deal with.
Not a great movie by any means, but it is still a funny one.
thats all for today.

Another few days have gone by

I haven't really been posting lately, because I really dont have all of that much to post about. I mean even right now it has been like 3 days since my last post and I am not sure if I have much to say at all. I havent been up to much
Two of the last 3 days I have not had work. I had those days off and I really did not do anyhting at all constructive. I went to brooke's party which was fun, but I had to do a lot of explaining to people why I do not drink. The party was kind of weird because I really did not know anyone at the party other than Brooke. I am not that great at mingling at parties with people that I have not met before and i also get kind of nervous in these situations. The next day I had my first bad day with my depression in as long as I can remember. I had nothing really to distract me from the depressing state of mind. I could not stop thinking about some things no matter what I tried to do to distract myself. So my mind was pretty much a descent into madness which really sucked big time. The more I didnt want to think about something the more I would think about it.
Yesterday was not as bad as the previous day, because I worked. At work I at least had a way to distract myself from the insanity. I pushed carts in frm the heat for 6 hours which was really miserable. Then there was a small gathering in the of people here which was able to help dstract me from the thoughts in my head.
I also watched some soccer yesterday and Germany did not play all that well for the first half at least, but was able to tie the game up with 10 minutes left and force over time. After the overtime went no where they went into penalty kicks. Germany did very well expecially goalie Jens Lehmann. He was able to stop a couple of the shots and make sure the germans would get through to the semifinals.
Movie of the Day: Jurassic Park, I can remember when i first saw this movie and how much I loved it at the time. It is a definitie must see if you have not already, after all who does not love dinosaurs? Well other than the hardcore christians.
Music of the Day: The Plagiarists, you can look them up on myspace or you could ask to borrow their cd from me. They have a really cool sound that is sort of a combination of a lot of bands. I went to high school with 3 of the band members ad was pretty good friends with them too.
Thats all for now, I have to get ready for work.
